On Friday, 8th November 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the IIT Dharwad Permanent Campus, dhaRti Foundation, in collaboration with our esteemed partners, successfully hosted a highly engaging awareness program on the New Karnataka Biotechnology Policy 4.0 (2024-2029).
The session was expertly delivered by Ms. Parnika Pavanram, Assistant Commissioner, Karnataka Administrative Service, currently serving as General Manager (Biotechnology and ESDM) at the K-tech Biotechnology Facilitation Cell, Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society, IT BT Department, Government of Karnataka. Her comprehensive presentation provided invaluable insights into the future trajectory of biotechnology within the state, outlining key opportunities and strategic directions.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response, attracting over 150 active participants from a wide spectrum of backgrounds. This diverse gathering included eager students, dedicated research scholars, esteemed faculty members, visionary startup founders, heads of prominent research facilities from the region, and seasoned industry experts. The vibrant mix of attendees fueled dynamic discussions, facilitating the exchange of diverse perspectives and fostering a deeper understanding of the policy’s potential impact on Karnataka’s biotechnology landscape. Such active participation underscores the keen interest and collaborative spirit within the region’s innovation ecosystem.
